Tari Wiencke

Moin, I'm Tari!

Full-stack developer and technical consultant for the social-ecological transition.

I'm here to help shape the world I want to live in. I'm driven by the question of how we can design technology, entrepreneurship and financial systems so they create not only economic value, but social and ecological value too. Topics I care about include platform cooperatives, Exit to Community, alternative company structures and steward ownership.

Story

My path

Studying at Germany's first Team Academy brought me to Bremerhaven for the past few years. There I learned my entrepreneurial craft hands-on, through real projects in a cooperative I co-founded, and as a full-stack developer I built a rental platform commissioned by the city. I also volunteered at a creative house and maker space, helping shape circular economy, community and urban development locally and in practice. As a member of the Novum Collective I tried my hand as an event technician and organizer, creating space for subculture.

Why

Why I do this

Maker Space Bremerhaven

Alongside acting locally, I engage on a global level with the socio-economic challenges of our time. The key lever I see is transforming our growth-driven consumer society into a regenerative economy that creates real value for people and nature.

The last few generations have created unprecedented wealth worldwide. At the same time, doubts are growing about whether our current incentive structures really produce the best long-term outcomes. While German academia still glorifies the Silicon Valley model, CEO pay has risen by over 1,000% since 1978 — that of workers by 26%. It makes me wonder how wealth, innovation and social progress should be organized in the future.

Unterwegs

Why do we need growth within today's financial structures? Who really profits from venture capital and the startup ecosystem? I want to go deeper and, beyond surface-level critiques of capitalism, help shape the economy of tomorrow. Platform cooperatives, alternative company structures, Exit to Community are real approaches already being put into practice — and a well-founded statement against the tech oligarchy.

Philosophy

How I approach it

I don't believe the answer is to reject technology or markets. Quite the opposite: I want to help actively shape them. Celebrating progress while searching for better answers to inequality, ecological limits and the concentration of economic power are not contradictions for me.

I want to help shape the economy of tomorrow — pragmatically, with data, and open to new ideas. Through my studies at Germany's first Team Academy, project work as a full-stack developer and a solid grounding in macroeconomics, I'm in a position to drive meaningful innovation and change.

Making

The creative DIY side

I build light installations with WLED for raves, mod old hardware with microcontrollers (most recently an ASCII printer made from a typewriter), work with CNC mills and 3D printers, and travel the world by bike. This creative DIY side is more than a hobby. It widens my inner sense of context and teaches me to approach problems hands-on and with a willingness to experiment.
